Zoe was first sent to live with the Jenkins. They were a childless couple in their early 50s who had no clue how to take care of a troubled child. After seeing her parents' abusive relationship and being yelled at by other foster parents, this type of behavior was all that she knew.
Linda felt heartbroken. She knew that Zoe was just reacting badly because of the trauma that she was exposed to. It might take a long time, but Linda wanted to earn her trust and help Zoe start loving
