The Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum and Veterans Archives was established in February 2007. The Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum and Veterans Archives is comprised of African American murals, artifacts, photographs and art work that tell the African American story. The museum is also one of the largest in the south with over eight galleries that consist of over 20 original murals, original art and artifacts all from African American inventors and artist.
