In an effort to increase awareness of excessive consumerism, an annual “Buy Nothing Day” was introduced in Canada. One should see that this “Buy Nothing Day” is actually good for society. Over time this day became widely accepted by many countries, and has become an annual worldwide event. There are three advantages to this “Buy Nothing Day”; those consist of helping the environment, improving someone’s overall health and of course improving one’s bank account. As time passes, the world will see more and more countries around the world begin to accept and adopt this one day, to improve one’s life for years to come.
