The decision involving choosing a college can be seen as the most difficult choice in our life, but also as an exciting adventure. Most of the people want to be successful and decide to go to the top colleges of the United States without realizing that it might not be meant for them, some colleges might not look as good as the top one, but the atmosphere and location might be better for us. We can only perform at our best in a confortable atmosphere that Is why we should think about it in details, we should have some time to think first. Think about the location, community life, tuitions, and other little details.

The location Is a large factor, that can really change my point of view on the college. It will be easily for me to get used to the weather since it Is very similar to one in Florida, even though they are more likely to get attacked by violent hurricanes. Sportily the Hawaiian team seems robust, they have a record of 147-40 in division 1 which makes them top five in the nation. It will be amazing to be part of one of the top teams. The only problem Is that it might be to tough also, it will be a waste if I will join the team but never play a match I will only be used as a hitting partner, I will hate it. School wise the University of Hawaii Is not that great, they have an acceptance of 81.2 %. And in average a person with a SAT score of 1500 and a GPA of 3.00 Is probably going to be able to get into it. The campus seems huge there are about 20 ,000 enrollments, which alerted my attention, thinking about how big the college I thought that there was probably a lot of infraction, but it looks actually pretty safe, there are just a lot of burglary. What really made me look after it Is the fact that my coach graduated from there. He told me a lot of great stuff about it, that it Is beautiful there, the coaches have a great amount of experiences, and that there the community life Is remarkable, but my coaches also told me that since you live in Hawaii it can make you forget what you are there for, he saw a lot of his friends stop caring about school and tennis. This college can be a great experience or turn out as a

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…

Unlike any of the other colleges I have applied to if I go to USD I will already achieve one dream I had since I was a third grader: going to California. It may not sound like such a big dream, but to a girl who never got to travel much this is a huge deal. And not only will I be going to California, but I will be living there! The third-grade version of me is screaming of joy right now to have that chance. Another reason why USD stands out to me is because they go beyond academics and really push students to be a part of the community.…

The first college I did research on was the university of Florida which is also my number one choice for the college I want to go to. University of Florida or UF home of the gators located in Gainesville Florida was recently ranked number 14 of all the university’s in the country, it is very big in athletics, science and in the medical field. UF also has many opportunities such as jobs, honor programs in fact more than 3,400 UF students participate in these honor programs they also have many cultural and art opportunities. But many cons of UF is it is a very large campus which might not be good for certain people and also the area it is in has a high crime rate. But to attend this university you have to have a 3.5 GPA with a minimum of a 19 on the ACT and a 500 on the SAT you have to have all 24 high school credits.…

ANAEROBIC DIGESTION MODEL (ADM1) The ADM1 as proposed by the IWA Task Group for Mathematical Modelling of Anaerobic Digestion Processes (Batstone et al., 2002a) is a structured but highly complex model which describes 7 groups of bacteria and archaea (included in a total of 32 dynamic state concentration variables) catalyzing 19 biochemical kinetic processes coupled to 105 kinetic and stoichiometric parameters. The set of differential equations (DE) of the ADM1 for the calculation of the variables include 10 DE to model the evolution of soluble matter concentrations in the liquid phase and two DE to model inorganic carbon and inorganic nitrogen levels in the liquid phase. Particulate matter and biomass concentrations in liquid phase are described…

Perhaps it wasn’t the wisest idea to choose my career path from a Barbie book, but as a four year old, Barbie skewed what little sense of logic I had. The year is 2004, and I am immersed in Barbie: Career Girl. I spend hours perusing the colorful pages, gesturing excitedly at Barbie in each of her occupations. There is one in particular that seems to repeatedly capture my attention: Barbie is dressed in a long white coat, a black stethoscope adorns her neck. She is surrounded by jars of band-aids, soap and lollipops.…

I have fallen in love with West Virginia Wesleyan and Buckhannon West Virginia. There are multiple reasons why this has happened over the past year and some of the reasons are because of the small school size, how great the academics are, the amazing soccer program, and how Wesleyan suits my personal life, and personality, perfectly. I appreciate the small school, that Wesleyan is, because I am a person and not just another number in the school. The education at Wesleyan is more personalized to fit me and my needs. For example, if I need to talk to a professor outside of class hours, they are available and very willing to help.…

One of the major decisions that high school students should take into consideration when it comes to college selection is whether they would want to attend a small or a big campus. At a certain point, many high school students have thought about attending a small college as it provides a strong sense of community. However, large college campuses are a much better option as they offer a wider variety of facilities, a bigger social scene and more room for clubs and activities. Every college, whether big or small, has to offer campus services of some kind that would help students succeed academically. Services provided by small campuses include a small library, classrooms, and computer labs.…
