In a nutshell She’s practically what Adam is not; bold, attractive, unafraid, talkative, and cheeky. Her character had enough traits to become a potential character in the book but her course was cut short and was only mentioned in certain snippets from time to time. She enjoyed pulling a number of pranks and Adam would gladly assist her in her ‘number’. The thing I liked the most about her was how dynamic she was from Adam and how Adam saw her as a person, heartwarming. It’s rather unfortunate really but, the only way the story could progress. Surprisingly, the plot was quick pace and the way the book was laid out felt necessary to give the story mystery and suspense. The layout may sound complex, however, it’s indeed an easy read. My only problem was the existential emotion I got from reading and may has nothing to do with the story and something more personal level. Although I wouldn’t call it a blemish and was probably the author’s intention. An aura of deep sadness radiated from within me as I read, mildly concerning. I am the Cheese is the only book I had read from Robert Cormier. The book was enjoyable to read with the story filled with conflict and question. I enjoyed the book indisputably. The downbeat nature of his work kept me on
