For some people, impossible tasks are things like passing a very hard diploma, winning a tough competition, becoming one of the top doctors in the world, etc. For example, I had a tough time in a dance competition that I took part in. History has proved again and again that achieving the impossible has always helped humanity in some way. For example, the discovery of electricity was revolutionary. It changed the way in which the world worked. So every time something impossible has been achieved, it has always been proven to bring some good to either a group of people, or all of humanity. In the film, “Life is Beautiful” a very strong and inspirational message is sent out to the audience. It is that one should enjoy life no matter what type of situation they are in and appreciate the fact that they are still alive. In the film, Roberto Benigi plays the role of Guido Orefice who is a happy-go-lucky man that enjoys life to the fullest. To take part all you had to do was register and give an audition in which ten groups would be selected. In total, sixteen groups auditioned from which my group made it. My group consisted of all my friends from India. We were really happy that day and celebrated by going out to a movie. There were three rounds throughout nine days. We had two days to rehearse between each round. Eventually, with a lot of effort and dedication, we made it to the final round. On the night before the final round, my friend became very sick. My group found this out on the morning of the final round. So in two hours, we had to change our whole routine that we practiced for two days because our friend said he could not make it but he sincerely apologized for it. So we worked hard for two hours straight with talking only 5 minute water breaks when needed. When it was our turn to perform we were all scared about not doing too well because some of our teammates did not have certain steps down right. Despite this, we all had one thing in mind; win the competition. It was a type of “do or die” situation in our minds. We had put way too much sweat, effort, and determination on the competition to lose. During the dance, one of our teammates incorrectly did a step and immediately one of my team members and I covered it up so well that the judges and the audience did not realize the mistake.
