I was fortunate enough to have such a great opportunity of going to Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia on student exchange program. I reached Brisbane on 18th .Feb. The college organised an orientation on 22nd Feb. The orientation was very well planned and succeed its purpose of making newcomers feel like home. Many informative sessions were held about accommodation, financial aid and medical help.
QUT has three campus- Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and Caboolture. In QUT, the education sector is set up as per the students. It was way too more practical. They told us how to use the camera in lectures. Lectures used to have more than 150 students and we used to sit and watch the lecturer. While in tutorials a group of 5 to 6 people were supposed to use the camera but time doesn’t permit everyone to be lucky enough to work on the camera. While there are some really good things which this unit had like maintaining the Daily Log, filling up the risk forms and workbooks.
The fourth subject and the most terrible subject ever was Music and Sound Production I still remember, after attending the first lecture I said to myself, I am definitely going to fail in this subject. The class was weird. The atmosphere was full of physics and science. I prayed to god, please save me. Well, I finally ended up pulling this subject out of my course.
A few days ago my result came out I was expecting 5 but I got 4.33 on the scale of 7, which means I have passed. My marks are less but I have learned a lot of things beyond academic walls which will be really helpful in my whole …show more content…
By applying this value to my life, I took a leap of faith and went to two tours: Great Barrier Reef tour and Fraser Island tour. It was quite hard for me to take such step and go alone on tours with people I have never met but later on, it came out to be a hell of a great experience. I met people from America, London, Germany, China, and Taiwan. Travelling with people of various ages made me able to see various aspects of one situation. I am really happy that I took that step and in the end, I was not alone, I made so many good friends.
