The very basic needs are physiological. It comprises of air, water, food, sleep, and sex. If these needs are not satisfied a person might feel sick, become irritated, or feel pain and discomfort. Moreover, these feelings motivate us to alleviate them as soon as possible to establish homeostasis. Once these are relieved, a person possibly will think about other things. If physiological needs are not met, it will take the uppermost priority. However, there are two versions of self-esteem needs by Abraham Maslow. These include the lower and higher esteem need. The lower form needs are fame, respect from others, dignity, recognition, status, attention, reputation, appreciation, glory and dominance. Higher needs form comprises of the need for self-respect, and include such feelings as confidence, know-how, mastery, accomplishment, independence, and self-determination.
