A name that couldn’t represent Brown’s fans more. Like dogs, Cleveland Brown’s fans are loyal. They stick with the Browns through thick and thin. So for the new logo I knew right away that I wanted to have a dog as a part of my logo. I decided on a bull dog, because it has been the type of dog that browns have used a lot in the past, also, I think it’s one of the most intimidating breeds of dogs. Another part of the logo I knew I wanted right away was to represent not only the Browns, but also their city, Cleveland. I’ve seen a lot of other NFL teams try and represent both in a logo. That’s way I included the dog tag with the C on it. The bone with the browns written on it is really the central part of the logo and it’s what your eyes are drawn to first. I thought the C added a nice personalized touch that didn’t take away from the recognitions that the logo is for the Browns. Dog tags normally show the owners of an animal and where they are from and the C on this dog tag does the same. The C tag is attached to a dog collar. I come from a long line of Brown’s fans, which I think gave me a unique insight for this project. I incorporated the bulldog into the logo because just as bulldogs are known for their loyalty, so are Cleveland Browns Fans. The soft brown, grey and pink make the Brown’s original colors, orange and dark brown, pop off the page. Also, your eyes are immediately drawn to the bone with the word Browns written across it for immediate brand recognition. A higher brand recognition rate has been shown to increase sales. The bulldog is an animal that exudes strength and intimidation, but the bone and the touch of pink ensure that the logo still comes across as playful and family friendly. I think the old logo was lacking a family friendly-aspect so this new logo could draw in younger fans. I also wanted to acknowledge the city of Cleveland with a small C written on the dog tag. It shows that Cleveland is home of the Browns and represents pride for the city. This new logo is more dynamic than the old helmet logo. It can open up a variety of new merchandise, such as dog bones, new shirts and foam fingers with the logo on them. I am confident my logo represents the heart of the Cleveland Browns and I look forward to hearing back from
