Lamb to the slaughter is a short story, written by the author Roald Dahl in 1953. This story is exposing a young couple in the late 1979 who was living in a lovely house and a peaceful environment. All parts of the story is about the family Maloney. However the main character, the antagonist: Patrick Maloney did twisted the story at all. Also the author, used a lot of tips to introduce the story such as: a written short story and a video.

The brain work means the effort of thought, reasoning, planning, or the like; ordered or directed thinking. As a student it is preferable to read the story than watching the video. The book forces the reader to use his imagination. In the short story, there is no pictures so while reading it is an obligation to imagine the scenario and this is good for the brain. However the video, tells you what to think by using special sounds effects and make the reader feels in a certain way. For example, in the short movie at the 1:59 minutes the background sound let thinks about something dramatical and disturbing in comparison of the short story when Marylin it was more sad than 0 and dramatical. As a student, it important to considers the plot diagram in a story and by reading the short story it is easier to describes the elements of the plot diagram.
