“Five more minutes,” a female voice shouted from inside the apartment.
The man roll his eyes, and proceeds to knock again with more force, causing the knocking to be so loud the residents of the third floor could hear. “Jeez, can you wait five minutes. I’m almost ready, just chill for a moment,” she shouted again.
The man proceeds to take out a half used cigarette, He puts it his mouth and as he starts to light it he shouts to the door,
“If I end my cigarette before you are ready, I’m leaving you here Miranda.”
The man proceeds to enjoy his smoke. He exhales the smoke while looking to the parking lot checking if his car is still there. He hears Miranda making noises closer and closer to the door. He turns his head with a serious face as he looks at the door. He thinks to himself, “Every time is the thing with this girl, especially when we are in a hurry.” He throws his cigarette to the rocks near a poorly trim bush as he waits impatiently to the door to be open. The door finally opens. He takes a quick breath as he closes his eyes in signs of relief. “Finally,” he said as his eyes open. He sees Miranda standing by the open door, with a big smile painting her face. Ian eyes are easily capture by her. Her long, black hair that easily camouflages with the darkness of the night, waves as she gets closer to Ian. Her red dress announces its presence with hunger of attention. She stands proudly next to him. She place her hands, as they are grabbing each other, in front of her stomach. “So,” she said as she continue to smile at him. “So what?” he replied with an unexpressive face. “So, how do I look Ian?” Miranda said with a very sweet voice coming out of her smile. Ian turn his body toward the car and takes three steps away from Miranda. “We don’t have the time for this,” Ian said as he place both of his hands inside his pockets. Ian proceed to continue to walk with a slightly fast pace toward the car. Suddenly his body completely stops. He feel uncomfortable for a second. His instinct quickly alert him of a great danger near him. He can feel Miranda’s hazel eyes engulfed in savage wrath piercing through his chest. Miranda still standing near her apartment door, with her eyes starring at Ian like two daggers set to kill. Ian turns toward Miranda as he can feel her anger. “I did not spend two hours getting ready for you not to notice me, she shouted with a frown and he arms crossed. “Okay fine. I’m sorry, can we continue this in the car. Seriously we need to get to the Crystal Celling”, Ian said with a serious tone, trying to keep his cool. Miranda kept looking at Ian with an angered face. Her face turn the same color of her dress. Ian knew that to make her get in the car as soon as possible, he needed to compliment her. If he express some kind of affection to her, it will set up a chain of events that would lead to Miranda demanding more and more compliments and affections. His biggest reason to leave as soon as possible was the traffic. As any normal human being, traffic is of the things they prefer to avoid. Ian’s car slowly approaches the line, until almost completely stopping. Then, Miranda takes a big breath and opens her
