To our most esteemed teachers, principals, parents, and graduates, a pleasant morning/midday/whatever time I might be presenting this speech on. To provide something lots of people can relate to, including me, middle school was a great adventure, which happened to have taught us many things. Perseverance, friendships, and lessons learned. These three things popped up over and over again in my head as I was writing this speech. To be completely honest, fifth grade was a great experience for me. I adjusted to the change in workload fairly quickly, and made some new friends along the way. And I couldn’t thank my two awesome teachers enough, Mrs. Steeves and Mr. Neuhausel, for helping me with my first year of middle school. Although, there were some downfalls, most of which were my fault. I left a banana in my locker for 3 weeks, and, as you might of predicted, the results did not turn out that well. The smell stayed clear on my notebook for 3 years, and it even smells vaguely like that now (don’t ask me how I know). Basically, my first year of middle school was very eventful, and to my opinion, was one of my most favorite school years I have ever experienced. Before I knew it, the fifth grade school year came to a close, and three months later, I landed myself a seat in the back of Mr. Sader’s old room. In the sixth grade, I have to admit, it wasn’t the best year for me. There were some downs. I didn’t get the best grades, especially during the 3rd and 4th quarters. I had trouble keeping up with homework, due to my busy schedule. However, it was 6th grade when I realized that I can work really well with other people, and can be a leader really easily. My new attribute lead me into a rather impressive 4th quarter, and a nice beginning to the
