Applying SWOT Analysis for Effective Planning Applying SWOT as a planning tool will identify goals and development of your firm objectives in the decision-making process. Utilizing this planning tool will establish a specific strategic plan thru external environment and internal problems integrating this into a more comprehensive goal and strategy for the firm. Vital to the SWOT planning tool, is identifying our organization’s strengths, weakness, and opportunities and threats that affect or organization’s performance. Work in conjunction with local and state regulatory agencies to perform inspections and deliver a product within specifications. The company Motto is “We Build to your Needs” our internal driver and definition of full service is “If the customer desires a serves intangible or non-tangible deliverables with-in the industry, we must provide that service or lose business.” This is a ‘word of mouth’ enterprise. The entire essence and structure of the process focuses on the customer to survive. Our company anchors itself by referrals and industry contacts. The company obtains its materials for building on construction projects from competitive suppliers bidding on various projects, to provide low cost supplies to the company. Engage in various associations, which also supply a steady flow of project bidding lists. Evolve with better management of projects in the industry to compete with quality and cost. Making the same decisions again and again has led to managements lack of moral from gaps in the work environment losing quality workers during this time has made some poor choices in hiring unqualified workers as well as the resources training them. In our SWOT analysis, we find that several of the key weaknesses and threats are interrelated or locked together, causing the poor planning decisions of the company as a whole. Example is seasonal work and gaps in employment and leading to training of new workers during prim operation of business in light that seasonal work is also an opportunity.
We recommend new goals for the company derived from this SWOT analysis. Primary new goal is to consider possible alternative markets in the field considering a high on specially design remodeling cutting gaps between projects in work environment. Steps to achieve this goal are to provide research and commitment as a top priority, committing resources, innovate any obstacles to cement our resolve to necessary interventions in performance contradiction of these goals.
