Deforestation
Deforestation is the removal of trees to be made into a clearing of land. Deforestation is a major issue for the environment. Not only does it make global warming, worse but it also removes habitat for animals that live in the forests. The amount of money the loggers get is enough to sustain the communities of Brazil. Some people see the benefits of deforestation and others do not. Environmental crime is what sustains the communities of Brazil. Many people argue that without deforestation the communities of Brazil would be in a major economic crisis. The number one job in Brazil is deforestation. The people of Brazil rely on deforestation for their job. Brazil is home to more than half of the world’s largest rain forest. When trees grow, they pull carbon dioxide out of the air and when you cut them down or burn them down it releases the carbon dioxide into the atmosphere again. Deforestation contributes to climate change, a change in the regional climate patterns since the mid to late 20th century until now. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and the carbon dioxide zone is 350 to 450 ppm per year and it is rising about 2 ppm per year. Deforestation is making global warming worse. Some people see the benefits of deforestation and others do not. Even though deforestation removes animal’s habitats and makes global warming worse. The issues for countries is that even though deforestation is bad for the environment, it is good for the economies of the countries. It provides more jobs than anything else there. It is up to the countries that allow deforestation to happen to make the decision.
