someone else perceived me was important and factual. My classmates continuously examined how others looked when they walked into homeroom 7:30 in the morning. I guess every impression was considered the first impression. We would all agree and laugh along with the relentless comic while one was singled out. It was all fun and games until I became the next target. “Brianna, I KNNNNOW you not laughing!” Everyone got quiet while grasping at their stomachs. I drew my eyebrows together with the slight movement of my face muscles while I gazed at my peers’ to see who spoke. Then this girl who towered over me said, “You’re a stick!” A boy with a squeaky voiced replied, “You can’t talk … You skinny too! You don’t have any meat on your bones. Do you eat??!” The witty girl started to say something, but our homeroom teacher cuts her off. “Y’all need to start respecting each other. There is nothin’ wrong with bein’ petite …” I repeated the word ‘petite’ with a confused expression on my face or thick wrinkles between my eyebrows is my natural look. Our sweet tea loving teacher continued, “… Yes, petite! When you look in beauty magazines what do you see? Thin pretty young southern bells like yourselves…” The bell rung in the middle of her sentence. She didn’t finish her little lecture because, all of my classmates scattered to their first class. Since my homeroom teacher was also my first teacher of the day, I sat in my assigned seat and pondered the latest discussion. That segment added a…

up Keri’s face and split open Hallie’s lip I reckoned at least on their part they’d want retribution and vengeance had. I had no doubt what-so-ever though that Keri and Hallie had by now recruited Harlin, Erik, and Donnie to help them seek payback. Especially, given that they had already thought I was the one responsible for trashing Harlin’s locker with the spoiled milk. So, I was pretty confident that they would be onboard with whatever the bitches had cooked up for me. Before going into…

The first thing I sight is the teacher's desk it’s filled with colorful papers on top of it. It’s looks like a rainbow but being flatten to earth. The off to the side there's 4 desks grouped up into one table with our names on it. “Okay, so welcome guys!,” says the tall woman standing next to the bulletin board. “I’m Mrs.James and I’m your assistant homeroom teacher, I hope everybody likes this class because I’ll be planning most of the activities here,” Mrs.James says smiling with her hands…

Carolina for a few weeks. This girl was fly to the bone. Her physique was slim, had beautiful lips, good grain of long hair and some poppy cute eyes. Everybody was on her from the block including myself. Ta was friendly. My mouth used to drop just seeing her. She stayed for a week or two. I remember seeing all the dudes on the block on Ra’s porch trying to rap to her cousin. Before she left to go back, I had to say something to her privately. The topic of this lesson was the nervous system, which was a continuation in the “Cells to Body Systems” unit. The lesson objectives were that the students were to describe (knowledge) how the nervous system works together with all other systems in our bodies and to apply (application) their knowledge of the nervous system as they worked cooperatively to complete the nervous system…

I used to assume things about people based on how they acted in school. For example, during my sophomore year of high school, I disliked a girl in my homeroom simply because she was too happy and nice. She never complained or showed distaste for anyone or anything in school, and she never seemed to have problems with others. I thought that she was being phony, because in high school people are rarely always happy and nice to others. I never talked to her or went near her, because of my…

The school bell finally rang, with ‘all’ the students, presented in all of their classrooms. 2-1’s homeroom teacher: Asano Keiichi had already taken attendance. The students were learning about a list of Japan’s historical figures,” Minamoto no Yorimoto was the founder of the first shogun….” He read, through his small book. SLAM!! The door swung open, making the class look up. Keiichi annoyingly paid his attention to the schoolgirl, bending over, panting, and sweating,” I-I apologize for being…
