Describe intimate partner violence (3)
Intimate partner violence is a serious, preventable, public health problem that affects millions of people.
The term IPV describe physical, sexual, or psychological harm by a current or former partner or spouse.
It is an epidemic affecting individuals in every community, regardless of age, gender, status, race, religion, nationality, or education background.
There are four domains of risk factors which can contribute to intimate partner violence occuring. List/decribe at least three of these risk factors for each domain (12)
Individual factors:
-Antisocial personality traits
-Depression
-Low income
Relationship factors:
-Economic stress
-Marital instability/divorces or separation
-Marital conflicts-fights, tension, and other struggles
