Dragomir was a professor of physical sciences at the local college and had always questioned the idea of God. He was also deeply concerned with the nature of the world and felt disconnected. His country’s participation in the cruel treatment of Jews made him question the morality of Christianity. The Bible didn’t seem to provide logical answers for his questions either. Realizing this, he began to conduct researches to answer the big question: Where do we come from? All of his findings led him to one answer: a supreme being who once was but no longer is, created the world and all the universe in one huge bang (this idea, the Big Bang theory, later became a praised theory by Stephen Hawking although not once was Dragomir credited for his contribution to Hawking’s theory), becoming everything and life itself. He gave this supreme being a name: Xelus. He released his research and theories in a book called: “The Ultimate Truth: How Science Helped Me Find Religion”. Dragomir was laughed at and even called a heretic during his time but that did not stop him. There were a few like him who had their doubts about their Christian God.
