When Cook states that the RCRs were disciplined very well, it indicates that the regiment's soldiers were obedient and carefully listened to their commanders. Thus, the RCR were able to cooperate well with leaders and carried out their tasks effectively. However, when sudden changes in plan happened like when there was a change in vessels, this delayed the expected time the RCRs were supposed to perform their mission. Despite the delay, the RCR were able to operate as they were instructed but just at different times. Their obedience led into quick advancement inland and soon aggressiveness. RCR's aggressiveness terrified the Italians which made them surrender. Because the
Italians surrendered, it was easy and time-saving for the Canadians to capture many towns and communes of Italy. By the end of the day, a total of 130 prisoners were captured and four 6-inch guns were taken from the enemy. The Regiment accomplished its objectives and the Allies were able to capture the enemy airfield in Sicily.
During the time of World War II, the RCR was presented with battle honours. It indicated that they were successful and triumphant. The Royal Canadian Regiment gained more than two dozens
