I’ve had moments where I’ve questioned the worth of a college education. Students juggle endless applications while college tuitions go up and the worth of a bachelor’s degree goes down. As I grew, though, I became certain that college is worth the price, because it not only provides an education necessary to succeed in many career paths, but also gives students vital preparation that they would lack without a college experience. Contrary to what I used to believe, colleges don’t dictate every class you have to take. They give students the flexibility to choose specific classes to explore their interests. Even though I’m certain I want to major in philosophy, I look forward to taking math or science classes and learn something interesting
