The term Widdershins means to move counterclockwise, another meaning of Widdershins can also be called Deosil, the term also means to go left or to move around an object by always staying towards the left side of an object. The term Widdershins can also mean to go in the opposite direction like similar to the direction of the sun. The term Widdershins means to me the way or the direction that an object or a person moves, it also means to me the object like a clock being as in the direction that the hands of a clock can move or it can also mean sunwise. The term Widdershins also means to me when you cast a circle you are supposed to move in the clockwise direction, either direction of being left or right as also in the direction in life. Also to me, it can mean the time of day along with the phases of the sun or the moon when someone does their practices when performing a ritual or when performing a ritual. I would use Widdershins in my practices in several different ways. One way would be in the position that I would move my Athame when performing a spell or by way of casting a circle which would include opening or closing the circle. I would also include Widdershins by way of when I am performing a ritual or by way of watching the hands on a clock to see what time of day that it is to help keep up with the phases of the moon also. I would also include Widdershins in my practices by way of if I am mixing something for a spell or something to use in a potion. The term Widdershins is very important to know because when you are performing a spell you have to move in a certain direction or the spell could not be completed.Windershins is also important to know when cashing a circle because when casting the circle there is a certain direction that the circle has to be opened or closed or it can cause the circle to not end up being opened or closed
