Why Teenagers Commit Suicide Awareness

This paper contains reasons why teens commit suicide, suicide awareness and prevention methods. It also gives a brief overview of the numbers of suicides as documented by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). If everyone knew the basic facts about suicide, the causes behind it, and the impact it has on the world then a helping hand can be given to prevent suicide as a whole. Numerous young people face high levels of pressure, depression, confusion, and problems in the home. Unlike adults, who have the capability to at least try to find assistance on their own, teenagers rely on parents, teachers, or other caregivers to identify their suffering and get them the help they need. Depression for example, might seem that recognizing signs and symptoms is easy but the signs are not always as obvious as one may believe. Perhaps it is not surprising that teen suicide is increasingly common. The third leading cause of death among people between the ages of 10 and 24 is in fact suicide.
