They thought that through this new government, that they would be more successful. In the book Animal Farm by George Orwell, the new form of government that is portrayed by the pigs, think that they should be in charge instead of Mr. Jones. They are going nowhere with their lives. It quotes “Now, comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious and short.” (George Orwell 5). What do they have in their lives? What do the Russians do with their life? Are they just living for nothing, or to get slaughtered?
The main effect of the Russian Revolution was that they were doing decent until Josef Stalin worked them harder with half the rations. Their was the work force, whom George Orwell portrays as Boxer the horse, is worked to exhaustion. Boxer would always state, “‘I will work harder’ and ‘Napoleon is always right,’” (Orwell 56). Same with the work forces in Russia at the time. The biggest effects that Russia/Animal Farm had was that their best work force was soon gone and they weren’t doing that well until more came in.
