Helping others has always been my passion and understanding I can use support and compassion to support others dreams is a reason why I feel so strongly about these 2 different fields. Making a difference in people’s lives is a big importance of a future career for me. I want to work in a field that I really enjoy working in, and I know that probation officer or social worker will be a perfect job for me and I will be committed and go in with full potential. Growing up I’ve witnessed family members struggling, in and out of jail, and many other difficult…
Being the first child in my immediate family to actually attend college, I plan on a rewarding and prosperous future with no limits. My future consist of attending Georgia Tech, and experience what college is like while receiving my bachelor's as well as master's degree in Aerospace Engineering. I will take internships at some Aerospace Engineering companies to be exposed to what to expect in my career field. I also plan on attaining my pilots license while at Georgia Tech through the YJFC to help me in my career field. After I complete my academic career and am satisfied I will apply for jobs at esteemed companies such as, Boeing, Space X, and NASA.…
There are many reason to why I decide to attend college. At the time I decide to go to college I wasn’t really sure as to what I wanted to do with my life. I knew that I wanted to further my education and become a better role model for my brothers, while improving my own self esteem. I wanted to create a solid foundation for my career and a secure future for myself. Last but not least I wanted to improve my self-discipline.…
There are several reasons why I chose to attend college. Not only am I looking to further my education in order to get a respectable job upon graduation, but I also have a desire to make enough money to support myself and a family. Finally, I want to absorb as much information during my lifetime as possible, and learn as much as I can because you only live life once. I take my education very seriously. Now, with liberal education being integrated into the curriculum at thousands of universities in the United States college students across America have the chance to learn, not only, general knowledge in UI 100 type courses, but also learn how to think critically.…
I decided to go back to School because I felt the need to continue my education. Management jobs require a Bachelors degree at the minimal. A degree opens up a wider market for job opportunities and is something that will benefit me on my resume. I also started college over twenty five years ago and felt the need to complete what I started. My ultimate goal for this degree is to better myself from a learning perspective, I believe the knowledge that I will receive from the Organizational leadership with a concentration on information technology will help me reach some of my business goals.…
I always wanted a positive life so finding an outstanding school was a priority for me. I began my research, with “the top business school for finance undergraduates.” The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University emerged as the best choice for me. For many years, I had an interest in math in which I chose finance.…
Why would you want someone like me attending your college? Well that is an excellent question; let’s start off with the major I am interested in taking, “Computer engineering”. The reason for the quotes is simply because right now I am at a stage where I am exploring ideas, and comprehending what I actually want to do for my future. I honestly want to attend college to help guide me to the right path. Now what is it that sets me apart from the other applicants to take this major?…
At my old high school, the courses offered are completely different from my new high school. Now that I am attending Collegiate, I have such an amazing opportunity to take college classes, in hopes of earning my AA degree when I graduate from high school. I am getting a two year head start compared to others my age. My old school, Mckeel Academy, offers very few AP and dual enrolment courses. I had not taken any there but had planned to before I got accepted into Collegiate.…
I decided to apply to this University because I wanted to be a student of a college that would not only give me the information that I need to be successful in my future career, but would also give me life experiences and prepare me for living in the world as an adult. I grew up in a small town and I want a change of scenery. I want to have more opportunities to meet and work with a variety of people and I believe that this college can give me these opportunities because it is a large, public college. I like that this college is in a more urban setting instead of a city and that it is not too far away from home. Although this is a larger school, the class sizes are not too big, so I would still be able to have one-on-one time with the teacher…
Go to college, Study hard, Graduate college, get a job and maybe get master degree. My academic plans may sound like everyone else. But I will not be like this It will be different. After High School I will make a use of my summer and instead of wasting it on road trips and traveling, I will get myself into IU groups program since I am the first on in my family that will go to college in the United States. And If I didn't get in it I will apply for the bridge program at IUPUI…
Applying to college as a transfer student is something I never would have thought was a possibility if one we to ask my high school freshman self. That is because I never would have been able to identify the potential positive outcomes that arise from going to a community college and then attempting to transfer out to a four year. Transferring has allowed me to become a much more competitive applicant than I would’ve been as a freshman applicant. In turn this has allowed me to consider more prestigious universities throughout the application process. Another major factor in my decision to transfer is that I have immigrant parents who have to get three kids through college.…
It has always been a shared dream of both my parents and I for me to attend a prestigious college and acquire an education well beyond theirs. Neither of my parents received the opportunity to attend a four-year university due to financial reasons. They made the commitment early on in my life to do everything they possibly could to ensure that I knew the value of education, hard work, and service to others. When adhering to these values, they knew I would become successful in life. I truly admire the efforts and dedication that have induced my parent’s success.…
Getting a degree and going to college had always seemed like a distant and far away dream for me ever since I was young. It was intimidating for me to think that someday I would step for the first time into a college classroom and begin something that I thought was so far away. However, I knew that taking that one step into the classroom would not only begin a long and hard journey in my life but that it would also change my life forever. Growing as a Learner One of the main reasons that I have for attending college is that I want to be able to get ahead in life and to have a better future. For example, one of the things that I expect to gain from completing college is a well-paying job.…
In these nineteen years of my life and being a college student for about two years, the one thing that I have come to realize is that getting a higher education from a good college is the key to success. I was raised mostly by my grandparents and my single mother while growing up. My grandma continued her education at Central Arizona College for her certificate in education, while my grandpa only obtained his high school diploma. My parents and grandparents come from poor families and not many college graduates. Even though they didn’t have any sort of college fund set aside for me they always tried to help me with my homework and give me words of wisdom and encouragement.…
