Names are important because they represent our identities and the words we go by. My last name "Him" came from the first name of my grandfather, Him Khem. It's important that people remember my name and pronounce it correctly because I prefer being addressed correctly. Also, it's more appropriate and respectful than being called the wrong name. Although, pronunciation doesn't really matter to me because there aren't many ways to pronounce my name.
