Who To Blame In Romeo And Juliet

Decent Essays
Although Romeo and Juliet ends with a tragic scene there is no one person to blame for the event. Some many say that it was all Romeo and Juliet’s fualt becasue they were the ones who killed themselves. However who’s not to say it was Tybalt’s fault or Paris’ did they not have anything to do with it? Some might even go as far as to say Lord Capulet was the one at fault after all wasn’t he the one who allowed Romeo to stay at the party where he first met Juliet. While all these people can be connected back to the reason Romeo and Julliet died the one person I believe to be most at fualt was Friar Laurence. Not only was he the one who agreed to marry them, he also knew what it would lead to. He says "Violent delights have violent ends." foreshadowing
