Concentration is when someone is closely and carefully, paying attention to something. For example, someone might be concentrating when they are much focused on a test that they are taking. According to Boston College there are five areas of concentration. They include Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, Quantitative Psychology, and Social Psychology. (Behavioral Neuroscience, August 25, 2014.) According to (Behavioral Neuroscience, Boston College); behavioral neuroscience is usually social behaviors or actions that occur. For example a type of social behavior or behavioral neuroscience would be a child play-fighting. There are many people who study and research behavioral neuroscience including John Christianson, Michael McDannald, and Gorica Petrovich. John Christianson research’s how stress and the brain work together to familiarize with different environments. Michael McDannald researches ways that people use their brains to learn and how they focus on different things. Gorica Petrovich researches the way people eat and how they are motivated. Also how they learn about hunger and stress. (Behavioral Neuroscience, 2014.) According to (Cognitive Neuroscience, Boston College) the main focus of cognitive neuroscience is memory. There are many great researches of this science including Hiram Brownell, Elizabeth Kensinger, Sean MacEvoy, and Joseph Tecce. Hiram Brownell studies in cognitive neuroscience how injury to different parts of your brain can affect your mind. Elizabeth Kensinger studies the more emotional parts of cognitive neuroscience in older and younger people. Sean MacEvoy studies visual human neuroscience. Joseph Tecce studies how memory affects health including body languages, emotions, and stress. (Cognitive Neuroscience, January 13, 2014.) Developmental psychology is social and emotional development in babies and the young such as attaching to parents or siblings.

Some researchers include Sara Cordes, Michael Moore, and Ellen Winner. Sara Cordes researches the way children, and adults think and their understanding of different things including math and decision making. Michael Moore studies participation, emotion, and relations between children and their parents. Ellen Winner studies developmental psychology in gifted children and how they understand and learn. Hao Wu works in statistics in statistical models and in theories because those are his interests. He compares statistical models to not all are true.
