The problem led to gender imbalance, impacting the government in Russia. Therefore, the government decided to make the price of the vodka higher in order for Russian men to decrease the amount of vodka they drink everyday. In 2013, the number of health facilities have decreased from 8,249 to 2,085 hospitals. Most people living in the rural areas have no transportation and will have to walk 20 km from their house to the health facility. Due to finance problems, the health facilities had to be cut down in order to save money. According to Russian Health care, people don’t even worry about having a high mortality rate anymore. No one trains the doctors and the nurses to maintain a good quality of their hospital. Many doctors quit their job because of low salary. Since a lot of doctors left already, the salary should have increased for the remaining doctors however it is still the same.
