Looking at these two different artists from different times, one might see many similarities between them. Both van Gogh and Picasso had a desire to bring out what they feel into their art, the desire to portray not what something was, but of how they individually saw it. It is as if it wasn't paint they put on the canvas, but their emotions, full with color and surrealism.
