In the novel The Hunger Games the Games are competition where 24 tributes two from each district are chosen to fight in an arena to the death and only one is allowed to leave making he or she the victor. The very first showing of the tributes is when their names are called in the reaping and they are to stand in front of their districts. In places such as District 12 The Hunger Games is a death sentence but, in DIstricts 1, 2, and 4 deciding who the tributes are can become complicated. There will be no blackouts tonight.” (Collins 124). Next is the more well known TV star, reality show host, and public face of the Capitol Caesar Flickerman. Caesar has been a part of the Games for about 40 years. Caesar is the average citizen of the Capitol very reliant on surgical enhancements to make him appear young and rejuvenated. Caesar role with the Hunger Games is to talk with the tributes similar to a reality TV show host and a contestant. He makes each tribute look appealing in their own way so that they get gifts from sponsors when in the arena. When in the arena every and anything could be a camera recording your movement so that all the viewers can see what their favorite or least favorite tribute is doing. At the end of the games the Victor would watch a “highlight reel” of all the things that led to them
