The USDA has five specific areas of interest that work as an organism to complete the mission of the organization. Namely; assisting rural communities, conservation, education and research, food and nutrition as well as, marketing and trade. Each program then expands into its own mechanism that allows the USDA to be successful in its mission of developing and executing federal policies on farming, agriculture trade and food with the best interest of the producer and consumer in mind.
