Finding the best bait for trout fishing in your fresh water adventures can leave most anglers puzzled especially when first starting out with their trout fishing experience. The fishing angler can choose from using an artificial lure that represents some type of food in the water sources to choosing live bait such as minnows or the good old fashion trout worm. As far as choosing the best bait for your fishing I tend to go towards the worm. When using a worm I do not use the regular, small trout worm but a nice big night crawler. I have always gotten my best results with using this type of worm.

I have used many types of baits in my career for with fishing and do enjoy the art of using an artificial fishing lure to try and seek out my catch. Many things can play a factor when deciding on the type of lure to use. Factors to think about are how fast the water is moving, when was the last time it rained, is the water muddy or real clear will determined what kind of lure you choose. Now after I have choosing the type of lure I would like to use I then set myself up a casting strategy and I will perform this casting strategy two to three times and if I haven't gotten any bites I might switch up my lure and try something else. Now it is important that you fish with a strategy with your bait as well. What I mean by a strategy is picking where you are going to cast your bait and how is that bait going to run through the water. You do not want to spook the fish so fish in your spots one or two times and if you do not get something within the first few cast then its time to switch up your fishing bait and try something
