Whenever we are nervous, we tend to do a compulsive habit to calm ourselves. Most of the time individuals twist their hair, bite their nails, or even pull their hair out to feel a relief of stress. The people that have this habit, believe they cannot control it no matter how hard they try. A habit most individuals do not understand, is trichotillomania. Trichotillomania is a common disorder that makes a person feel the need to pull their hair out or bit their skin while being under stress, bored, or anxiety. The individual that has this disorder believes they cannot control it because they have a hard time stopping themselves from this behavior. Even though this disorder may be hard to treat, trichotillomania is curable and can cause a lifetime
