Although there was a large amount of ‘controversy’ beforehand, what is the point of doing contemporary art without bringing up contemporary problems? As an avid satirical reader myself, I found this musical to be quite humorous and yet still connect with the audience on these contemporary problems. After seeing the musical numerous times, I released just how little controversial material was actually in the show, all it was doing was portraying life, at least semi-accurately, from the perspective of a recent college graduate. Both its humor and social commentary amused me, along with its excellent set and costume design and musical numbers, helped it earn an 8.5/10 from…

Then corridos led to talking about illegal immigrants moving to the U.S. The first known group to have started the Narco Corrido as in talking about drugs…
The value of this website is of my interest because their facts are so interesting and they also have all their interviews on their and all the details of what cartels have done. I have found an article based on the cartels of Mexico and why they kill mayors. This links up with how the cartels are involved with politics and how their power is rising through this. Another thing is how it relates to all the murders these cartels are doing and also how they are terrorising their own country and are making their country worse than it already is at the moment. This supports my search on cartels because it show how their power is rising.…
During the 1970s to the early 1990s, people of any sort of Christian background were obsessed with the dangers of the counter movement in America and the new fears that the movement brought. This obsession caused those against the movement to obsess over the young people’s interest in Satan and Satanism. This was pushed by mainstream media, particularly with the evangelical Christians of that time period (). The evangelical Christians used ‘therapists’ and ‘priests’ to help keep children on the straight and narrow. The evangelicals also used ‘news’ outlets to voice what they wanted the world to believe was really happening to their children.…

The setting, time and place, can have a significant effect on the characters of a novel. Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s Chronicle of a Death Foretold is a novel that takes place in a small Colombian coastal town in 1950s. The story examines the murder of the protagonist Santiago Nasar, and the events leading up to it. Colombian culture has a heavy impact on the behaviours, character traits as well as the values of the characters in Chronicle of a Death Foretold. If the text had been written at the present time and if the setting had been a modern city in another place, the murder would not have occurred, and actions of certain characters of the novel would not make sense for certain reasons.…
