Connection what is it you ask”? Well, it is a veggie event! “A Veggie Event”? Let me explain….
The Veggie Connection is a network event where attendees are exposed to a host of vegetarian/vegan vendors, speakers, entertainment, and more. The Veggie Connection aims to create an awareness regarding a plant-based lifestyle, but also to ensure that it is accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable for all who are on this journey towards wellness and abundance.
The Veggie Connection was create to fill the space where these sorts of events aren't occurring.
With me having my full share of traveling long distance to Veggie Events, paying for parking, waiting in long lines, feeling rushed, and not being able to see certain speakers. I felt with the birth of The Veggie Connection that people shouldn't have to travel far just to experience an event of this nature that usually occurs in a major city. You shouldn’t have to wait in long lines, pay for parking, feel rushed, and not able to see all the speakers who are speaking at the event. The Veggie Connection events are based on a more intimate type setting I like for all of our attendees to be able to take their time to talk and interact with each vendor, speaker, entertainer, and not be overcrowded. As an attendee, one can relax and enjoy themselves in an air condition facility or in a park setting with blankets and tents, and you don’t have to feel rushed. This aspect was an important factor into creating the foundation of The Veggie Connection. October 17th marked the 1st Annual Veggie Connection Event in Smyrna GA. The day started off with some light rain and an overcast. Vendors arrived excited and happy despite the wetness on the ground and the slight chilliness in the early morning air. Time 9:00AM: table setup is almost completed. Vendors are putting the final touches on their vending space as they await the arrival of the first 300 guest. Time 10:00AM: The 1st Annual Veggie Connection Event has started! The first 300 guest received Veggie Wow Bags filled with goodies from our participating sponsors. Curiosity and excited filled the room as the guest kept arriving. Each attendee took their time as they visited each vendor. They also were able to catch the speaker portion of the event as well. Time 4:00PM: The 1st Annual Veggie Connection Event is over. The synergy was veg-fabulous! Plant eaters shopped, mingled, and mixed over delicious samples. The event illustrated a variety of plant based foods, products, and services available in the Atlanta/Surrounding area. Vendors provided free samples along with full food plates for sale. …show more content…
Guest experienced an informative speaking session. Veggie Wow Bags were given which included goodies from Field Roast, Go
Veggie, Upton’s Natural, Beanfields, Moon Organics, and others. In the end, connections were made, eating was done, and knowledge was exchanged! All-in-all this day October 17th was marked the beginning of many more conscientious eating Veggie Connection Events!
Being a Southern
California native I discovered the same issue surrounding Veggie Events
(Festivals) in the Inland Empire area. They are being held in major cities i.e.
Los Angeles, Northern California, San Diego, and Orange County. Summer of 2016 birth the 1st Annual Veggie Connection Event in Inland Empire (Rancho
Cucamonga, California). With an abundance of plant eaters in the Inland Empire,
The Veggie Connection was much needed. July 2nd was the day Inland Empire was exposed to The Veggie Connection Event! The first 300 guest received Veggie Wow
Bags provided by Sprouts filled with items from participating sponsors. It was an electrifying day! The community ate, shopped, listened to speakers, and even danced too! Healthy RC of Rancho Cucamonga covered the event and aired it on Rancho Cucamonga local cable station. Another day in the Veggie History books was made! The Veggie Connection is not just an event it is a lifestyle that I have lead since 2008. I want to show others who are looking to become a part of this lifestyle that there are options and choices available to them on how to eliminate meat and dairy from their diets and be conscious and aware of the harming
