During middle school, I suffered from an exercise induced asthma constantly. Asthma induced by exercise is when symptoms occur while performing any type of physical activity. Something as big as running a marathon, or just walking a lap I would be overwhelmed by wheezing and chest tightening. I still remember having an asthma attack right before singing a solo when I was in 6th grade. Having horrible episodes of asthma attacks, my parents took me to see our family doctor. I was given two different types of inhalers and had to be hooked up to special breathing machines weekly. Slowly, but surely did my asthma symptoms were put to bay. Now and then I will show symptoms of asthma when I’m not being careful. Thankfully, I have not had any asthma attacks in years, so I do not carry around an inhaler.
