While the role they played may not be as bad as the role Don John played it is still dishonest. Their plan consisted of getting Beatrice and Benedick together. They planned to make Beatrice and Benedick think they were in love with the one another. Both group of genders staged a conversation about how the opposite was desperately in love with them.
