During this time black people were risking their lives every day, scared to go anywhere alone because they might be killed by a white man. This is why they had to rebel because there were unjust laws and they were segregated from everyone else. Sometimes you have no choice but to rebel against society and against the people that are making you feel unwanted and feel like an outcast. “Oppressed people cannot remain oppressed forever” (King, 616). Furthermore, people cannot stand around when a certain group of people are outcasts and are treated as if they are not humans. There is a certain extent that one take when they are constantly put down, sooner or later people will rebel like the Civil Rights Movement. Still, outcasts are the new normal, no matter if how big or small one’s issue is people will rebel and show where you are wrong. There is one problem with that, it is that there needs to be a reason to rebel, needs to be a history of despair and injustice. Rebels are not evil, yes they might have pain and anger, but for justice and hopefulness. Rebellion becomes a necessity to move forward in society and to fight for one’s rights and for one’s acknowledgement. Society makes rebellion seen as a negative act, that you as a citizen should not disobey rules but to bind to them. There is a line to where you should obey the law, but there are times that you have to rebel and go against the
