Another Example “The Battle of Britain defined what it meant to be British; a unified people that would not fall in the face of evil and certain death” (Thomas n.pg) This quote is stating that this win for the Great Britain was like the start of something new to their country and that they didn’t have before, a feeling of victory, if Britain was to lose this battle it would have changed history and the United States would have been in war with Germany (this later did happen but Hitler later ended up losing to the United States).
