Therefore the essence of this study trip is to not only give you educational information about the leisure supply of Vancouver but also to provide you with a taste of the actual leisure activities which you can enjoy with your fellow students and friends. A study trip makes sure that the students meet new people and make new friends with which you can share these unforgettable experiences with which you will remember for a lifetime. A study trip gives students lots of opportunities to practise their social skills. Making new friends can happen with local people, but especially with the other students on the trip who they never really got to know until now. This happened this year as well, the group of 39 students was divided in three different groups in the beginning, but at the end of the trip they all got along. The reason why Vancouver is better for this than other locations, is because the mixture between students was bigger. In Switzerland for example, there were only international event management students. In Vancouver, there was a mixture between (international) event management and (international) leisure management, both Dutch and English educations. One of the places the students have visited in their individual time is Grouse Mountain, which is one of the most beautiful locations that has been visited. On the last Friday of the trip, the students had a day off. Some of the students, a group of around 13 students, decided to go to Grouse Mountain. Grouse Mountain is a mountain of 1.231 meters altitude. They could go by ski lift for three minutes, or they could hike for two hours. The adventurous students chose to hike, which they thought was super heavy but worth every step! In the beginning, they kept going with high speed, but they quickly found out that they were not able to keep this up. This is why they decided to go a bit slower and enjoy the view more. After two hours they reached the top, and the view was amazing. One of the students described the view as: “I have never seen anything as beautiful as this view!” The students started the hike with normal weather, with beautiful green trees around them. But, after one hour the weather started to change. It started snowing and their surroundings began to turn white. At the top of the mountain, the view was
