Development Programmes (UNDP) Goal 5 in the Sustainable Development Goals is known as
the 'Stand Alone Gender Goal because it is dedicated to achieving these ends. Legal changes in
many countries are needed to ensure these gender equality changes take place. Over the decades
there have been some changes but on average women still earn 24% less than men around the
