In the scientific method, there is an inter-relationship between observation and experiment, which can be found in any of the models Hypothetico of the deductive method, which is a model, or method is a proposed description of scientific method. The scientific process is now based on the hypothetico-deductive model, which was proposed by Karl Popper in 1935. Popper suggested theories about the world should come first and these should be used to generate expectations which can be falsified, by observations and experiment. According to it, the scientific inquiry proceeds by formulating a hypothesis in a form that could be falsified by a test on observable data. Reasoning and logic Is necessary in order to avoid potential dangers that could potentially do us harm. It’s what allows us to transform our activities to produce more effectively. Observation is defined as the act or process of being monitored to a certain action. It’s associated with the use of one’s sense perception, sight and hearing, which is also a method to acquire knowledge. For example, in psychology or biology, observation is used to understand a certain act or determine why an individual behaves in a certain way. However, by using passive observation, as a tool in the acquisition of knowledge would suggest that there is no reason or intuitive decision being made. Therefore, we can say that passive observation and active observation aren't the …show more content…
This quote suggests that the third way of producing knowledge in humans is through self-reflection. ‘ self-reflection is the capacity of humans to exercise introspection and the willingness to learn more about their fundamental nature, purpose and essence.’’ Self-reflection in an individual is extremely important is it raises more awareness about oneself as well as consciousness.Self reflection also has elements of passive and active. For example, after my examinations, I was fully aware that I did badly, but after reflecting upon how and what I did wrong, I gained more knowledge than the previous knowledge I had, only by self-reflection.
When we acquire new knowledge, we always try to find some sort of reasoning behind it, we then translate the new learning to our existing knowledge through memory to relate it to our own experiences, which helps us in giving us a better understanding. Therefore, questions such as why shared knowledge can be extremely biased as every individual has their own viewpoint, It also questions the reliability of our shaped and personal
