Nursing profession has had a pivotal role since the 1900s, however within the 1980s, the term APN evolved. Through healthcare changes, APNs have risen to improve patient population by patient-focused care to the community on a larger discipline of nursing. Nurses were acting upon God’s teachings and giving back to the people. For instance, Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them”. In translation “poor in spirit” means to be humble, through humility that all blessings come from the grace of God. For decades, nurses have been witnessed to be humble and selfless to devote their energy and compassion to helping others. Also, Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”. Nurses are free of selfish intentions and self-seeking desires. Although, it is satisfying to help others, they do not expect compensation besides self-fulfillment. Through the teachings in the bible and instilled nursing education, nurses will always be different compared to a physician. Nurses instill the compassion, giving nature and nurturing traits that are unable to be taught. Physicians, nurses, and all medical professionals work as a collaborative team and apply one another’s qualities to the best of their
