The material cause means something I'd manufactured by something. For example, a golf club is made out of metal.
The formal describes what makes a product. For example, golf clubs come in different shapes and sizes. So just because a person has metal does not mean they automatically have golf clubs.
The efficient cause describes what/who did something. For example, someone rolling a ball, the person who rolled the ball is the efficient cause. The efficient cause does not describe what happened it tell us "what did what".
The final cause describes the process and explains what happens during the action. For example with rolling a ball. It may say "John rolled the ball aggressively
