Tensions can rise with different economic/political views because as global competition increases in countries they will want to take advantage of another country. In the Yale Global, it states that “Australia has revised its takeover rules to prevent China buying up wholesale its natural resources”2. This statement shows that with China is a dominant country they want to out buy Australia’s natural resources, with Australia already enforcing takeover rules it can lead to China not listening and going in with full force to get their natural resources. Multinational corporations are migrating their factories to different countries and this is allowing them to avoid paying taxes. With migrating to different countries and avoiding tax is a drawback to globalization because the corporation can take advantage of the country they are operating in and avoid to pay in state taxes. The reality of globalization and multinational corporations migrating to developing countries is that workers are not getting human rights because the multinationals do not care enough to fix these issues. In the article, workers that work in the Rana plaza were denied human rights, such as, a union and better working conditions. This is resulting in women getting harassed by their bosses primarily men and getting threatened by their own neighbors because they want a union to get human rights5. This is resulting women and men to suffer because are not getting accommodated for, but instead working in a factory that does not have windows, air conditions, nor fire exits, making it a risk to be going to work in these factories. Poor working conditions also comes along with these factories because in the factories there pressured not to take toilet breaks and they do not have clean water for the workers to drink5.
