61% of rape victims are raped before the age of 18. Research indicates that 46% of women who are raped are victims of family members. I believe that if a woman was raped by a stranger or a family member and became pregnant from the horrible incident, they should not have to be burdened by the memory of the rapist by having a “rapist child”. Women already have to deal with the emotional and physical damage of being raped. It wouldn’t be fair to add a child to the problem. Someone else’s will should not be imposed upon a woman's body. If they chose to keep it because they don't believe in abortion ,that would be different. Again, it’s all on what the woman decides to do. About 78% of the pregnancies are unplanned. Without funded contraceptive services, there would be 40% more abortions each year in the United States. Nearly one-third of all abortions after 12 weeks are obtained by teenagers. The rate in teen pregnancy would raise by 58%. Many don’t also have access to contraception and even if they are it’s not always effective. They shouldn’t have to go thru the shame and struggle of raising a child just because they had sex. I believe that if abortion becomes illegal and unfunded it would cause more problems than having an abortion. The rate of mothers who won’t be able to financially care for their children would be devastating. Un financially stable
