Public schools provide the basis a student will need to succeed via the common core curriculum. Public schools also offer many on campus technical programs that will benefit a student who chooses a career field of that type. One of the greatest advantages for the public school system is the capabilities they have in teaching special needs children. Public schools are funded by the federal government, so when it comes to funding programs, like for the special needs children, it is easier to gain those resources and to make it more accessible to those who need it. Another advantage for public schools is there athletic programs. With federal grants and tax dollars larger 2A school districts are able to provide more player-demanding sports like football. Also, for people who may not be a Christian, or believe an a spiritual deity at all, public schools allow a worry-free place so parents and students do not have to worry about religion being a factor in their education. The public school system has some disadvantages as well. Often, a major disadvantage is since public schools are run by the government, whenever there is political turmoil, or a shortage of funds, the government has to cut spending, and sadly in many cases it is the students ' education that is affected from cutting teachers and programs or cutting new technologies needed to help a child learn …show more content…
Every student is different. For those who have an attention span that does not get distracted easily and likes the larger crowd, public school is a superb learning institution. For the people who find it hard to concentrate around a large group of people, who also needs more structure and guidance, private school could be the better answer for them.
