What ever happened to the old fashioned paper and pencil method? It has been tarnished and removed by technology. Every book has been stripped from the meaning it has when a page is flipped and the suspense grows. A tablet , or cell phone has now taken the place of a great book. This strips the fundamentals of a great book and the doors that open with it. Each year thousands of dollars are spent on electronics that can help in different departments of schools (Source A). “Taking risks” shouldn’t be what schools go by. Change is good but when it affects a child’s education it isn’t the best.
Many teachers change their curriculums to better get into the student's interests. Teachers create accounts such as Edmodo and Google classroom to relate to their students outside of the classroom. Homeworks are posted and assignments are shown and scored there. On these online classrooms every

(Source B). Even though technology does harm to children, it also does them justice. Technology is a way to have children participate in class activities and games which helps their grades improve. Children are quicker to grab an IPad than grab a textbook. This is because they are more familiar with an IPad than they are with a textbook that was written decades before they were born. On balance, technology is a hindrance to students because of the distraction it causes. Students are losing the fundamentals of reading a great book because they are caught up in their electronics.
