Sotomayor states “I poured myself into my studies at Cardinal Spellman High school, earning scholarships to Princeton University and the Yale Law School…” Based on this evidence one can infer that Sotomayor achieves greater credibility by explaining how hard she worked to be so successful; also, she explains this by not only stating that she put so much effort into her work but by proving her statement by explaining how she received scholarships to Princeton University and Yale Law school. Yale Law school is the number one Law school in the country and Princeton is ranked number one in National Universities. Sotomayor was not an average student, nor did she put a little bit of effort into her work; moreover, she was such an outstanding student that two of the most prestigious colleges in the country chose Sotomayor out of millions of other applicants to receive scholarships.
