The case of FSC shows that “The FSC does not represent a form of stakeholder dialogue, in which corporations invite stakeholders into their internal decision-making processes. Rather, it represents a corporate move into the political processes of public policy-making,” (Menser, pg94) illustrating the corporation interest is not on stakeholders, and its purpose of collecting opinions is for public policy-making. Moreover, the failure of preventing corruption in civil society CSR is corporations’ self-regulation failed and governments lack the flexibility and capability to regulate the corporations, and offenders lack punishment for the corruption. Although the civil society CSR model focused on environmental sustainability, it is high entry level for many firms to join. Like in the case of FSC, it prompts environmentally sustainable forest management activities and programs by using certification products. However, some forestry operations are not properly certified. The expensive certification products costing more and putting more pressure on the small business are the problems that hinder its long-term development. Therefore, civil society CSR is not good enough at solving the three problems comparing to worker cooperative. Overall, the stronger point in the worker cooperative is the advantage of satisfying workers’ interests and needs. It gives more opportunity for workers to choose their business strategy, and it prevents the imbalance power between top managers and basic workers. The maximum goal in this model is to create maintained Jobs for people instead of increasing profits. The worker cooperatives also concern about the profits, but not as obvious as the civil society CSR. In COOP’s view, the corporations’ maximum goal is increasing more profits, and it gives explanations why the stakeholders’ interest is not considered as the primary choice.
