I have consistently worked fifteen hours a week as a respite employee, have been a two time treasurer of the American Sign Language club, an active member in the peers advocating wellness club, and have held two different executive positions in my fraternity. I also had the honor of being selected 1 out of 200 girls in my sorority to be a campus and chapter crisis advocate. I completed training on sexual assault, rape, eating disorders, substance abuse, mental illness, and healthy relationships to be a trusted source for my peers. I continue to serve in this role and have done so for the past two years. This has been an eye-opening experience in many ways and has confirmed for me that I am a “people person”. The opportunity has further reinforced my desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Keeping busy with all of these activities has taught me the importance of the time management skills necessary to thrive in graduate
